McG

McG is a filmmaker who has directed six feature films and six television pilots. His features, including “Charlie’s Angels” and “Terminator Salvation,” have grossed more than $1.2 billion at the box office. In television, he directed the pilots for FOX’s “Fastlane,” “Chuck,” “The Mysteries of Laura” and “Shadowhunters.” He is the executive producer of more than 600 hours of primetime network television, including FOX’s “The O.C.” and “Supernatural.”

His feature film directorial debut was the 2000 blockbuster “Charlie’s Angels.” The film debuted at No. 1 domestically and became the biggest opening for a first-time director. Other feature films directed by McG include “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” “We Are Marshall,” “Terminator Salvation,” “This Means War” and “3 Days To Kill.” 

McG began his career as a songwriter, co-writing the No. 1 songs “Fly,” “Every Morning” and “Someday” for childhood friends Sugar Ray. During this time, McG also directed more than 50 music videos for a wide range of artists, including Sublime and Wyclef Jean.

In 2001, McG founded his production company, Wonderland Sound and Vision. Wonderland most recently released the breakout hit “The Duff,” along with Chris Evans’ directorial debut, “Before We Go.” Wonderland is currently in pre-production on “Masters of the Universe” and in post-production on “The Babysitter,” both directed by McG. Wonderland is producing “Shel Silverstein,” starring Oscar Isaac, and “When We First Met,” starring Adam Devine and Alexandra Daddario.

Matt Miller

(Writer/Executive Producer, LETHAL WEAPON)

 

Matt is co-creator of the new network comedy series “Trial & Error.” He also served as the creator and showrunner on “Forever,” and as showrunner on “666 Park Avenue.” Other executive producer credits include “The 100,” FOX’s “Human Target” and “Chuck.” Earlier in his career, Miller created “The Grown Ups” and wrote and directed the romantic comedy film “The Perfect You.”

Originally from Philadelphia, Miller is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark Producing Program.

Dan Lin

(Executive Producer, LETHAL WEAPON)

Dan Lin is the Principal of Lin Pictures, a next-generation production company with a deal at Warner Bros. in both film and television. Its offices are based at the Bricksburg Chamber of Commerce in Hollywood, CA.

Since his company’s formation in 2008, Lin has produced films that have grossed over $2.0 billion in worldwide box office sales. He most recently produced the blockbuster “The Lego Movie,” written and directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, and is currently in production on “The LEGO Batman Movie” (February 2017 release), “The LEGO Ninjago Movie” (September 2017 release) and “The LEGO Movie Sequel” (February 2019 release).

In the live-action arena, he is in pre-production on the films “Death Note,” with director Adam Wingard, and Stephen King’s “IT,” with director Andy Muschietti. He is also in development on the third installment in the popular “Sherlock Holmes” film franchise, starring Robert Downey, Jr.

In addition to LETHAL WEAPON, Lin also is executive-producing the network series “Frequency.”

Prior to forming Lin Pictures, Lin served as Senior Vice President of Production for Warner Bros. Pictures. During his eight-year tenure at the studio, from 1999 to 2007, he oversaw the development and production of such films as Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning drama, “The Departed”; “10,000 BC,” directed by Roland Emmerich; “The Aviator,” directed by Scorsese; and “Alexander,” directed by Oliver Stone.

Lin serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations, including the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment; Pepperdine University’s Center for Entertainment, Media, and Culture; and the I Dream of Fish Foundation. He is also a mentor for both the Producer’s Guild of America and the Center for Asian American Media. In 2015, he joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and grew up in New Canaan, CT. He received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1999. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Jennifer Gwartz

(Executive Producer, LETHAL WEAPON)

Jennifer Gwartz is a Los Angeles native and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career at Lorimar Television and made her transition into feature films as an executive at Silver Pictures, working on such projects as “Demolition Man,” “Conspiracy Theory” and “The Hudsucker Proxy.” 

From Silver Pictures, Gwartz was named Vice President of Cary Woods’ Miramax-based production company, Woods Entertainment. At Woods, she developed “Scream,” which went on to gross $100 million domestic, as well as “Kids,” “Copland,” “Swingers” and “Beautiful Girls.”

Following her stint at Woods Entertainment, she returned to Silver Pictures as Senior Vice President of Production in February 1997. She oversaw a slate of feature film projects, including “Lethal Weapon 4,” “House On Haunted Hill” and “The Matrix,” as well as series for broadcast networks and cable, including “Tales From The Crypt” and “The Strip.”

In September 1998, Gwartz transitioned into network television as an executive in drama series at ABC Entertainment, working on such shows as “Wasteland,” “Vengeance Unlimited” and “Fantasy Island.” In July, 1999, she joined Columbia TriStar Television, where she ran the drama department, along with colleague Danielle Stokdyk. Following their tenure co-running the department, they moved into a producing deal at Universal Television from 2000-2002, where they executive-produced the pilot “Homeward Bound.” From 2003 to 2005, they headed up Joel Silver’s television division at Warner Bros. Television, where they executive-produced the pilots for “Veronica Mars,” “Prodigy” and “The Studio.” After leaving Silver Television, Gwartz continued developing and producing series television, serving as executive producer on Rob Thomas’ critically acclaimed series “Veronica Mars” for three seasons; co-executive producer on the series “Big Shots”; executive producer on the pilot for “90210”; and executive producer and co-executive producer, respectively, on Rob Thomas’ “Cupid” and “Party Down.”

In 2010, Gwartz oversaw scripted development and production for Fishbowl Worldwide Media. Since 2011, Gwartz has been the Head of Television and COO for Warner Bros. Television-based Lin Pictures Television. In addition to LETHAL WEAPON, she has produced multiple pilots and series for the company, including the new network drama “Frequency.”

Steve Boyum

(Director/Executive Producer, LETHAL WEAPON)

Was raised in Los Angeles, California. A world-class surfer, ski racer, ski instructor, and motor-cross racer, he moved on to stunt work in films such as Apocalypse Now (1979), Bound for Glory (1976) and The Blues Brothers (1980). He moved on to be a cinematographer and second unit director, working on many films like George of the Jungle (1997), Mystery, Alaska (1999), and Jingle All the Way (1996). Soon he made the transition to directing 1st unit films, and episodic television, movies of the week and mini series. Throughout his career, he has worked on over 1,000 movies and television shows.
